benel Solutions announces that it will continue the Association Evolve educational series into 2018

In 2017, benel Solutions began offering an ongoing educational series of events to association and nonprofit professionals out of their new office space in McLean Virginia, free of charge to the attendees. Lunch and learning is not the only thing that comes free, the session also includes a credit toward earning or renewing a certification program with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Today benel Solutions announces that the program of events they started in 2017 will continue into 2018. In 2017, benel Solutions submitted an application with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) to become a Certified CAE Provider, and was approved. Since then, benel Solutions has hosted a series of events centered around content that is relevant to ASAE and its curriculum topics for the CAE exam, a certification that much of the association market strive to attain and must participate in continuing education to maintain over time.

In 2017, benel Solutions hosted events on topics ranging from volunteerism, data analytics, marketing automation and distance learning strategies for members of the association and nonprofit markets. Presenters in 2017 included a select group of benel Solutions partners and subject matter experts from HighRoad Solution, Higher Logic, Real Magnet (now a Higher Logic company), Association Analytics and CommPartners.

Director of Membership for the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), Bill Allder III, CAE, had this to say about the past events he’s attended, “providing these learning opportunities has helped me not only to maintain my CAE credential with ASAE, but also to gain a greater perspective on the evolving association market and the direct and immediate impact new association technologies have to offer.” When asked about the format of the events Mr. Allder commented “the format is not lecture style, it’s a collaborative discussion with the group, led by industry experts. Those experts routinely deliver solid guidance from which I derive new strategies and next action steps.”

The events typically pull in anywhere from ten to twenty-five attendees and are hosted at the new benel Solutions headquarters office on Greensboro Drive in Tysons Corner, Northern Virginia.

In 2018, benel Solutions plans to organize up to seven more events; Some financial strategy and event related consultants and firms are already in talks to come in and help lead the discussions with the current and future leaders of the association and nonprofit markets.

One of the reasons benel Solutions goes out of their way to provide this series is their sense of responsibility to the market they serve every day. Benjamin Muscolino of benel Solutions commented this “our job is to help associations do more with less, every day. Whether they’re buying services directly from us or working with one of our great partners, we want to help fuel a better strategy behind all of the mission-based organizations we can. This series of events is a great way to do that.”

Outside of the organization presenting as the subject matter expert for that event, there are typically no other vendors or consultants in attendance. The team at benel Solutions have declared the events a “no-pitch-zone”, with the idea that association staff from across the area can speak completely freely with the experts and with each other to collaborate around best practices and consume the content in an environment that doesn’t distract them from their mission to bring what they’ve learned back to their association or nonprofit.
